a couple of minutes drive to the entrance to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, 30 minutes to
Punaluu Black Sand Beach where you will find lots of Sea Turtles, and only 30
minutes drive to Hilo to go swimming, or visit botanical gardens and waterfalls.
Hale Mahinui is conveniently located to explore Hawaii Volcanoes National Park
and the East Side of the Big Island.

 After a
day of hiking spectacular trails, or viewing the incredible lava flow, soak away your happy fatigue in the
always-hot Jacuzzi, just outside the master bedroom on the lanai overlooking
the garden. Hale
Mahinui offers guest very peaceful, private surroundings, and there is even a
private outdoor
shower (..of course..HOT water!..) which overlooks the garden.
There are no mosquitos in Volcano!

 Hale Mahinui is a private gated property on one acre of beautifully landscaped tropical forest. The driveway leads you through a canopy of Hapuu Tree Ferns to the house, which is surrounded by more tree ferns (hapuu) and ohia trees, orchids, anthuriums and datura, which form a sanctuary for wild songbirds.

 The
panoramic window in the dining room lets you see the lush tropical forest
while you are enjoying your meal. The table expands to fit 6 people
comfortably. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils you need
for preparing your foods, including coffee machine, grinder, and even a juicer.

 The house is newly furnished, and a variety of fresh tropical flowers a placed throughout the house for your enjoyment. Enjoy a magical romantic evening in front of the fire place in the living room and listen to some of the many music CD's supplied for your enjoyment.

 The
romantic master bedroom suite has a brand new comfortable queen size bed. The
French doors open to the large deck . Just step outside of your bedroom
onto the deck to
take a Jacuzzi or relax on the deck while sipping on a cup of coffee or tea overlooking
the beautiful Volcano Forest and watch the birds playing in the trees. We
even have a wild Hawaiian Pheasant family (mom,dad, and two kids), that stop by
every day enjoy the garden.

The second bedroom is upstairs, along with a large oversize loft area, where you will find the flat screen TV, VCR, (Cable), and also a leather lazy boy chair and a queen size sleeper couch for overflow sleeping arrangements.
Each bedroom has a space heater should the nights get cold, and an ample supply of extra blankets is provided.

two nights. (IE: Fresh Fruit,
Milk, Orange Juice, Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate, Pancake Mix, Bread,
Eggs, Butter, Jam, etc),
fresh tropical flowers and orchids throughout the house. Exact items
may vary based on local availability.

Credit card# to hold reservation, payment by check,
traveler's check, or cash upon arrival. ( If no credit card,
then one night deposit via check payment. )

Cancellation
Policy:

Two
Weeks - No Charge / Full refund of deposit if
cancelled at least two weeks prior to arrival. If cancelled less than
two weeks in advance, no charge if house can be rebooked.
Reservations for 4 days or more have a 30 day cancellation period.
